European Springs Sustainability

At European Springs, we’re proud to be part of the Lesjöfors Group sustainability program. Today’s environmental challenges demand not just commitment but a shift in practices that benefit our industry, economy, and planet.

Lesjöfors Group’s Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi)

As part of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) we have clear, science-based goals to address climate change- helping to shape our sustainable, circular manufacturing approach.

A Science-Based Approach to Reducing Emissions

The SBTi, supported by organisations like the UN Global Compact and the World Wide Fund for Nature, guides companies to set emissions targets that adhere to the Paris Agreement’s ambition of limiting global warming well below 2°C, with efforts to reach 1.5°C. This science-based approach means we’re not only pledging to reduce emissions; we’re committed to adhering to quantifiable, data-driven progress for a more sustainable future.

Redefining Manufacturing with a Circular Model

Our SBTi commitment also marks a transition towards circularity. This forward-thinking approach replaces the old ‘make, use, dispose’ model with a regenerative cycle that prioritises recycling, reusing, and reducing waste.

By prioritising resource conservation, we will minimise waste and significantly reduce our environmental impact. This commitment will create a balanced, waste-free ecosystem that stands as a powerful example of the new standard that manufacturing must adopt.

Through these efforts, European Springs and Lesjöfors are part of a larger industry-wide shift toward sustainable and efficient production, and we invite you to be part of this collective movement.
