Quality Engineer
Salary: £25,000 per year

The role
The Quality Engineer will assist the Quality Manager, and the Quality Department, in the administration of the department. The role will; assist in the development of the department, in terms of technology and people, with the objective of satisfying customer and business demands.
Duties will include:
The successful candidate will report to the Quality Manager through the Quality Engineer, and will have full responsibility of, but not limited to:
- Administer customer complaints
- Raising Defective Goods Reports (DGR’s)
- Administer supplier complaints
- Provide technical support for new parts / development parts
- Undertake metrology activities
- Undertake inspections, spot checks and review of paperwork for samples and components
- Provide technical support to colleagues, including; inspection techniques, use of inspection equipment, drawing details, inspections & capability studies
- Complete customer surveys, and environmental studies, liaising with; customers, suppliers, and colleagues, to ensure the company’s compliance with the requirements for;
- RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances)
- REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals)
- Conflict minerals
- IMDS (International Material Data System)
- Administer and organise outgoing Quality documents. Ensure; Inspection of parts, certification, SPC data inputting, and CoC reporting
- Create and distribute the annual Parts Per Million Values Report
- Calibration, maintenance, and repair of all engineering equipment
- Sample approval process
- Deal with drawing up-issues and loading drawings
- Requesting and recording customer concessions
- Quality checks at the first quality line and last pre-shipment quality line
- Creating PPAP’s (Part Production Approval Process) levels 1 – 5

Qualifications And Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience in the role of Quality Engineer, or have obtained an Engineering Qualification.
The ideal candidate should have:

- Understanding of engineering drawings
