Apprentice Maintenance

Salary: £9.50 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week including day release to college

Full-time, Permanent

The role

To undertake a learning and development programme, completing ‘day release’ to college, then carry out a work programme in the Maintenance section to develop practical and/or technical skills and knowledge of how to maintain equipment and facilities in a Manufacturing environment.

Duties will include:

  • Mechnical maintenance of Spring Making and Press equipment
  • Electrical maintenance of Spring Making and Press equipment
  • Electrical facility maintenance
  • Hydraulic maintenance of Spring Making and Press equipment
  • Associated administration and IT systems
  • Take part in meetings, supervised learning and training as directed by the Technical Director/Line Manager

Qualifications And Experience

There is no requirement for previous experience as full training will be given. The ideal candidate will be; capable of maintaining focus whilst engaged in repetitive tasks, able to undertake light to moderate physical (upper body) tasks, keen to work in an engineering environment, and able to follow instructions accurately.
